About Us

Hello,

So your ordinary average 'About Us' page would go something like this;

"Our company is this, that, and the other and we are brilliant!"  (or words to that effect :)  )

... i can't and won't do that ....

My name is Gary and I've lived here in this beautiful country for 20 odd years now. I came over to Australia from the UK where most of my family worked for the railway at some time or another and some still do. 

I started this site a few years ago as a hobby (i have a day job aswell) as it had struck me that a lot of people like myself can't just pop down to a local hobby shop and get what they need,( even the postie doesn't visit here, hence the PO Box address) and if they could most of the time the price would be top dollar.

So this site is for you if you don't have easy access to a model shop and also are a bit more savvy when it comes to not paying more than necessary.

I confess I am no salesman...it's just not my nature to be that pushy.  All I will say is the prices here are as low as I am allowed to and can possibly make them and the little bit I make goes straight into saving to try and pay for flights to go and visit the family every 2 or 3 years. Well that was the theory anyway... I'm just being totally up front here.

Its very safe to buy from here as any decent online shop should be so you have no need to worry about that. In fact you can be sure this site is as safe and as easy to use as could be done.

I do my best to provide good service and to have orders delivered as quickly as possible.

Nearly everything here is made by Australian small businesses who are all enthusiasts like us and create some genuine home grown models.

So that's my 'About Us' page...maybe a bit to honest but hey...you deserve to know a bit about me and this sites story.
