HISTORY: -
The KOJX Class were constructed in the Queensland Railways Townsville Workshops between 1997 and 1999. There were 300 of these wagons built. The KOJX wagons were converted from old QLX underframes. The Cattle Compartment has been designed to be removed and many of the same fittings as a conventional shipping container. The running numbers of these wagons was 34281-39089 and 34276-38462. These wagons can now be seen running all over the state in trains of up to fifty wagons. The KOJX is often marshalled in the same train as the KL and KWJX Class wagons. The KOJX wagons have a carrying capacity of 25 head of cattle. Tare weight is between 18.2t and 19.2t depending on the bogie types fitted. The gross capacity of the KOJX wagons is 36.0t.
